Mr. Prasenjit Layek made his first appearance in the professional world in 2013. Back then, he was working as a Class 4 Marine Engineer Officer with A.P.Mollęr - Maersk Line. Mr. Layek completed his B. Tech in Marine Engineering from Indian Maritime University and went on to do his Post Graduation Diploma from Indian Institute of Forest Management. He has Interned with NITI Aayog during his Summer Internship and then got the campus placement as Young Professional in Jal Jeevan Hariyali Mission (JJHM), which comes under the Rural Development Department (RDD), Government of Bihar. He has expertise in the waste management sector and provides consultancy for Disposal and Treatment as well as for Buying and Selling of waste. He has detailed and comprehensive knowledge on recyclable plastic household waste, municipal and organic waste including agricultural waste. His experience in this field helps him provide expert advice on segregation for recycling, composting, landfill and biogas formation. Currently , he is with the Indian Political Action Committee as an Associate manager.
