In the recent past, Sravanthi is very actively contributing to the field of Municipal Solid Waste Management with strategic collaborations with reputed organizations like All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG), National Solid Waste Association of India (NSWAI), Regional Center for Urban and Environmental Studies (RCUES) and Waste Management and Research Centre (WMRC). Her expertise led to her participation in quite a few projects and initiatives in the sector. She has been remarkably successful in creating an extensive repository (both spatial and non-spatial) of authorized recyclers for each of the dry waste being segregated at all the 384 ULBs across the State and documentation of the various revenue models adopted by the ULBs to self-sustain the waste management. With such rich experience, Sravanthi is now an upcoming speaker and a panelist in various conferences and events. Her inputs and talks have invigorated the audience coming from Urban Local Bodies, fellow planning and executing organizations etc., to name a few. She is also a Management Committee Member of the prestigious organization National Solid Waste Association of India.
Apart from the built environment, her areas of interest include climate change vulnerability and adaptation and energy efficiency. She has contributed to various research studies conducted by Asia Pacific Network (APN), World Bank and ADMIRE – program funded by UNEP-DTU in Climate Change Adaptation sector both in India and Sri Lanka.
