Dr. Sanjay K Gupta

What started as passion for recycling and compost, turned into a fulltime Profession with the same zeal. I, Dr. Sanjay K Gupta has been working globally with waste, recycling, circularity, zero waste issues since 2000. I have set up over 100 SMEs in waste service sector in India and abroad. I have been part of the various innovative initiative that involved in informal sector workers improvement in livelihood and empowerment besides contributing to award winning reports like Global Waste Management Outlook, Status of Solid Waste in World Cities and Global Indicators for Solid waste Management. He returned from Switzerland on the request of the Assam Government to help contribute to Swachh Bharat Mission and credited with turning towns from dirtiest to fastest moving clean towns and zero waste schools and communities. He comes with direct experiences of implementing projects, executing innovative concepts and is advisor to state governments and municipalities for achieving Swachh Bharat Goals. I conceived ideas like dustbin free cities, stream based waste collection and plastic free campaign across many countries, very successfully.
