Innovative Recycling Techniques
ReLithia Energy’s advanced recycling workflow handles up to 200 kg of batteries per hour. The process commences with shredding waste batteries into particles of approximately 6.08 mm. These particles undergo pyrolysis at 343.15 K, thermally decomposing the electrolyte into reusable components, such as lithium fluoride, trimethyl phosphate, and fluoroethane. This step is key to recovering high-value materials while minimizing waste.
Following pyrolysis, the materials are crushed further to achieve fine particle sizes as small as 660 µm. These are then separated using hydrocyclones, linear screening machines, and dense medium separators. Copper, nickel, and aluminum are isolated with remarkable precision, while 98% pure lithium cobalt powder is recovered and sent for further processing.
