Priyanka Salunkhe Bhosale

I am a graduate in Forestry, have completed Masters with Environment management as core stream from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, India and have worked as a Technical Assistant with Forest Ecology and Climate Change Division in Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding, (ICFRE, MoEF&CC) Coimbatore. Simultaneously am pursuing a doctoral degree from the same institute. My doctoral research deals with "Spatial mapping, assessment of carbon sequestration potential, and valuation of ecosystem services provided by urban tree cover of Mumbai city" (2018-2023). I am working on the assessment of carbon sequestration potential of urban green spaces in Mumbai and core focus Is to find the monetary value of the carbon storage of urban green spaces and Ecosystem services provided by urban green spaces of Mumbai, India. As I am working with forest ecology and Climate change division, so far, I have got opportunities to work in diverse fields, from Mangrove conservation to environmental impact assessment, biodiversity assessment, tree census, phenological studies of rainforest species, and restoration of rainforest fragments in the western ghat and ecotourism projects in Kerala.
