The tube mill features a hollow cylindrical shell that rotates around its axis. Inside, it is filled with very small balls, typically made from stainless steel or rubber, which interact with the material being processed. This design allows the tube mill to crush and grind materials into an extremely fine form, making it suitable for applications requiring precise particle size control.
Tube mills are categorized into several types based on their design and operation, including attritor, horizontal, planetary, high energy, and shaker mills.
